U.S. President Barack Obama says he does not think Israel has decided whether to attack Iran over its disputed nuclear program.
Speaking on U.S. television, Obama said the United States was cooperating closely with ally Israel to solve the crisis. He said the two were "in lockstep."
He repeated that all options remain on the table, a hint at possible military intervention, but stressed that Washington is looking for a diplomatic solution built around a world coalition.
Iran insists its nuclear pursuits are for peaceful civilian purposes, not a bomb.
Obama's comments come after the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps warned Iran will retaliate against any country used to launch an attack on the country.
General Hossein Salami was quoted by Iran's Fars news agency as saying “any place where enemy offensive operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran originate will be the target.”
