Pakistan PM Says Threat To Saudi Arabia Would Provoke Strong Response

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif asserted that any threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity would evoke a strong response from Pakistan.

Sharif was speaking at a top government meeting in Islamabad on March 26.

Sharif called the meeting to discuss a request from Saudi Arabia to have Pakistan join a Gulf-led coalition fighting Huthi rebels in Yemen.

Nawaz said Pakistan enjoys close and brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and attaches great importance to their security.

The participants of the meeting decided that a high-level delegation will visit Saudi Arabia on March 27 to assess the situation.
