Suspected Islamic militants have bombed two boys schools and a health center in northwestern Pakistan, RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal reports.
The two schools were razed to the ground in the Halimzai administrative district in the Mohmand Agency, one of the seven tribal districts located north of the city of Peshawar.
No militant group has taken responsibility for the attacks.
Mohmand Agency official Khalid Khan told RFE/RL that several suspects were arrested shortly after the explosions.
"We have arrested the suspects from the nearby areas under the collective responsibility law and warned them that the government will not tolerate such acts," he said.
Agency administration officials said a total of 78 schools have been destroyed in Mohmand since 2009. Two-thirds of those are boys schools and the remaining 26 schools for girls.
Officials said the destruction of the health clinic today means 12 such clinics have been attacked in Mohmand in the past two years.
