Russia's fledgling urban creative class is coming of age, becoming networked, and is quickly becoming a political force to be reckoned with. And their nascent "power horizontal" is challenging Vladimir Putin's entrenched "power vertical."

In the latest edition of the Power Vertical podcast, we address the question: Just how powerful is thie emerging power horizontal really?

Joining me is co-host Kirill Kobrin, editor of the Moscow-based history and sociology journal "Neprikrosnovenniye zapas." And making her debut appearance on the podcast is Nina Khrushcheva, a professor of International Affairs at the New School, director of the Russia Program at the World Policy Institute, and author of the book "Imagining Nabokov: Russia Between Art and Politics."
