Along with her head of her division, Gennady Karlov, she supervised Oleg Silchenko. Vinogradova denied several petitions by Magnitsky alleging the fabrication of materials in the case against him. According to an investigative report by "The New Times," Vinogradova coordinated the case against Magnitsky by the Interior Ministry with officers from Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB).
