MOSCOW -- A group of major Russian human rights organizations has criticized U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over her response to Russia's March 4 presidential election.

In comments earlier this week, Clinton said Vladimir Putin was the "clear winner" of the vote, and that Washington is prepared to work with Putin during his upcoming third presidential term.

Clinton also called for an independent investigation of electoral irregularities.

In a joint statement on March 9, Russian human rights groups denouced Clinton's comments as insulting to "fighters for fair elections."

They said the words "clear winner" could not be used regarding Putin because of the alleged rigging of the vote in his favor.

The rights groups include the Moscow Helsinki Group, the Social Partnership Foundation, the Memorial Human Rights Center.

Frankly speaking we did not expect such a statement from Mrs. Clinton...The only explanation for her words is that Clinton has previously consulted with Obama who is known for lack of brains in foreign policy (and in domestic too)..

She would be send to аbkhazians racist- thugs on the rehabilitation..according to the Abkhaz constitution (article 49) Clinton is inferiority women..By the way, this article has supported Putin with whom Washington is ready to work...

Of course Americans whether it Republicans or Democrats will not star war with Putin because of Abkhazia ...you're kidding or not...
Referring constantly to Abkhazia and what is happening there, I want to educate people that there is Вanditry, Nazism and Racism and that Mr. Putin is covered it.
I think it is wrong...I do not care that Putin is doing it for geopolitical reasons...it is wrong, mean and ugly.

Vakhtang, man, wake up - how can you say "I do not care that Putin is doing it for geopolitical reasons"? Obviously, it's said that simple people ALWAYS fall victims to geopolitics, but there is NOTHING one can do about it, like it or not.
As far as Abkhazia is concerned - get real, Vakhtang! The only one in this world who can do something to TRY TO return ethnic Georgians to this republic is Putin (or some future Russian president). The GRINGOS DO NOT CARE about the fate of Georgians: they only want to use Georgia (a) as an energy conduit for their NATO allies in Europe and (b) to antagonize Russia. I think the 2008 war demonstrated it the above point clearly and distinctly.

And those human rights groups would not be known for the lack of brains? How come they had not been able to rig more votes in the favor of opposition. Was it too cold in Riga or are the old hags capable of lighting a cigarette only?
