MOSCOW -- The Russian League of Voters, which unites celebrities and activists against the leadership of Vladimir Putin, has condemned the March 4 presidential election as an "insult to civil society."

In a statement, the league said it was "impossible to recognize the results of the presidential elections, due to widespread violations."

In the vote, Putin, the outgoing prime minister, secured an unprecedented third presidential term, winning nearly 64 percent, according to official results.

The vote was earlier this week condemned by Western monitors as unfair because the process was skewed by authorities in favor of Putin and there was no genuine competition.

The Moscow City Election Commission has approved results showing that Putin won less than half of the vote -- nearly 47 percent -- in the Russian capital.

No surprise that Prokhorov came in first in Canada, with Russians resident in Canada (Ottawa+Toronto+Montréal+Vancouver) voting:

Zhirinovsky 103,
Zyuganov 345,
Mironov 142,
Prokhorov 1433,
Putin 1186.

There are many mistakes (intentional or not) in the League of Voters' database. And yet that data very slightly differ from official data (not the summary spread over news agencies but data themselves).
After checking by league's personnel, scans of original documents provided by observers disappear. Why they discard evidence I don't know but this is a fact. You can go to svodnyprotokol.ru and see. Only unchecked documents have scans, and in most cases this scans differ from data in the league's database and agree with official data. In fact, by now I found only one document with scan that differs from official data.
