North Caucasus

Six Militants Reported Killed In Daghestan

Officials in Russia say police and security forces have killed six suspected armed militants in Makhachkala, capital of the North Caucasus republic of Daghestan.

Officials said the violence occurred on July 27 after militants, including women, surrounded an apartment block in Makhachkala's outskirts and refused to leave.

Officials said that after children who were with the group were allowed to leave, the militants opened fire on security forces.

Officials said six suspected militants were killed in return fire.

Violence between suspected Islamic militants and security forces in Russia's North Caucasus -- which includes Daghestan, Chechnya and Ingushetia -- leads to hundreds of deaths and injuries each year.

counting and counting and counting.. Russians and Syrian people do the job of exterminating peaceful Wahhabi Sunni activists sponsored by US government, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. Peaceful Wahhabi Sunni activists think they can establish peaceful Sunni caliphate across much of a globe. US government and Saudis want that too but evil Russians just keep killing CIA operatives every day. And what does Hillary do? She keeps crying her eyes out

You should say that to the USA and the GB, who toppled the Taliban and opened heaviest drug trade into Russia. At least 2 million Russians die from that crap annually nowadays.
"During the Taliban rule, Afghanistan saw a bumper opium crop of 4,500 metric tons in 1999,.[15] However, in July 2000, Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar, collaborating with the United Nations to eradicate heroin production in Afghanistan, declared that growing poppies was un-Islamic, resulting in one of the world's most successful anti-drug campaigns. As a result of this ban, opium poppy cultivation was reduced by 91% from the previous year's estimate of 82,172 hectares. The ban was so effective that Helmand Province, which had accounted for more than half of this area, recorded no poppy cultivation during the 2001 season.[16][17]"
