Last Two Slovak Paragliders Freed From Iran

Iran's official news agency IRNA reports that Tehran has released the last two of eight Slovak paragliders who were arrested in May on suspicion of spying.

IRNA said that "two citizens who were arrested for violating the laws of the Islamic republic of Iran were released and handed over to their embassy."

Six other Slovaks were released in September.

They denied they were engaged in any spying.

The Slovaks were detained in May after paragliding above Isfahan, where Iran has nuclear facilities.

The Slovaks said they had filmed their flight purely to document their adventure.

They also ran into trouble for using two-band walkie-talkies, which are reportedly banned in Iran.
