The body of the 27-year-old Chechen man killed during questioning in Florida about ties to Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been buried in his native Chechnya nearly a month after his death.

Ibragim Todashev was fatally shot on May 22 in a confrontation with U.S. law-enforcement agents.

He was reportedly being questioned about his alleged links to the late Tsarnaev, who along with his brother is suspected of carrying out the deadly bombings in April, and about a triple murder in Massachusetts in 2011 in which authorities think Tsarnaev may have been involved.

U.S. officials say he attacked one of the agents during the questioning.

Todashev's body was brought earlier on June 20 to the Chechen capital, Grozny, and buried in a Muslim cemetery.

Todashev's father, who has alleged that his son was set up before being "executed" by FBI agents, and the dead man's widow accompanied the body back from the United States.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed in a shootout with police after the April 15 bombings. His brother, Dzokhar, was captured nearly 24 hours later after a massive manhunt that virtually paralyzed sections of Boston.
