Reports from Pakistan say two Sunni Muslim clerics have been shot dead in the port city of Karachi.
Police say the two clerics were traveling in a car on January 31 when a gunman opened fire at them near the eastern Nursery neighborhood.
The AFP news agency reports that one of the victims included Abdul Majeed Deenpuri, a top mufti at the Jamia Banuri Uloom Islamia seminary.
Pakistan's largest city is routinely affected by violence.
On January 30, a bomb exploded in the Sohrab Goth neighborhood, killing two people.
Some 2,000 people were killed in the city in 2012 in violence linked to ethnic and political tensions.
