KYIV -- The daughter of jailed former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko says her mother is being denied access to painkillers despite being in "horrendous" pain.

Yevhenia Tymoshenko told reporters on February 9 that her mother has been bedridden for three months with severe back pain.

The authorities have agreed to Tymoshenko's request to be examined by an independent, international medical panel.

Those experts are expected to arrive on February 13.

Yevhenia Tymoshenko (sometimes known by her married name Carr) accused prison authorities of withholding the medication to force her mother to agree to include government-approved Ukrainian specialists on the panel.

Yulia Tymoshenko was sentenced in October to seven years in prison on abuse-of-office charges.

Kudos to the Canadian and German medical team who hopefully will be allowed to visit Tymoshenko in the horrid prison in eastern Ukraine. Also, let's hope they are able to get to her before the Russian puppets decide to invent some excuse to eliminate Tymoshenko.

thousands of people held in concentration camps by NATO-supported Wahhabi gangs in Lybia are tortured and killed daily. We do not hear RFE/RL and other US propaganda outlets lament those people being denied painkillers before they are tortured or killed
