Sergei Lavrov's U-Turn On Invasion

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's recent statements suggest it might only be a matter of time before Russia makes an incursion into Ukraine. (file photo)
In early March, as Russia deployed thousands of troops in Crimea to back the process of the peninsula's annexation, it also began to build up its troop presence on the country's border with Ukraine.
At the same time, Russia denied that the buildup was anything more than a military exercise.
Many suspected that Moscow's next target would be Ukraine's south and east -- where there are large Russian-speaking populations -- and reacted skeptically to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's repeated denials that Moscow had "plans to send troops into the rest of Ukraine.
But since the apparent failure of a de-escalation agreement signed in Geneva last week, Lavrov's rhetoric has become harsher -- and in an interview with RT on April 23 -- he all but said Russia was on the brink of war with Ukraine.
See how his statements have evolved over the past five weeks below:
March 14: After a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Lavrov said "Russia does not have -- and cannot have -- any plans to invade the southeastern regions of Ukraine."
March 29: On Russian state TV:  "We have absolutely no intention and no interests in crossing the Ukrainian border -- absolutely [none]."
April 11: Responding to a question on Russian state TV about whether Moscow had plans to take over the south and east of Ukraine: "We can't have that wish -- it goes against Russia's fundamental interests."
April 23: On RT, Russia's state-run English-language news outlet: ""If we are attacked, we would certainly respond. If our interests, our legitimate interests, the interests of Russians have been attacked directly, like they were in South Ossetia for example, I do not see any other way but to respond in accordance with international law. Russian citizens being attacked is an attack against the Russian Federation." Russia invaded Georgia in August 2008 after fighting broke out between Georgia and its Russia-backed breakaway territory of South Ossetia.

New York Times Admits It Pushed Fabricated Evidence about Iraq, Syria and Ukraine

Then the U.S. and the New York Times pretended that they had proof that Russian soldiers were the mysterious “masked men” seizing government buildings in Russia. But a couple of days later, they were forced reporting from the alternative media – especially Robert Parry, winner of the George Polk Award for National Reporting – into retracting that claim, and admitting that their “proof” was almost as flimsy as proof of Saddam’s “weapons of mass destruction”.

Lavrov is a pathetic figure. He used to be a valued person in the international politics but these days he's no more than a well paid liar. His name is thoroughly tarnished and he will spend the rest of his days in the same league with the former Iraqi Information Minister, better known as Comical Ali.

By interfering in Ukraine, Russia is damaging the interests of citizens of the European Union.

Should we consider any attack on the interests of citizens of the European Union as an attack on the European Union itself?

The EU has done everything to frustrate Russia (annex Russian money in Cyprus, bribe the Ukraine to lean to the EU, join demonstrations in Russia, etc.). So the EU should see an Russian attack as an attack of the EU on the EU. The EU also stepped into the Arab Spring and that also went really well. In the end the EU, when it still exists, will learn not to interfere in other countries so much, and to just bring its own house in order.

That is really diluted nothing about nothing - what comes first, chicken or egg.
Competing against Russia that blockade and plundering the World by arresting few Russian criminal assets, too little too late to stop by that alone Russian expansion.
(West allowed to Russians it in the first place, because they bribed and called themselves new capitalists.
They stole as pseudo-Communists, they steal as pseudo-capitalists - a stealing Varag under any name is a stealing Varag.
West took bribes before and they still do - a taking bribes under any name is a taking bribes.)
Arab Spring was just backlash of the terrorist war that Russia used against CIS and against the West - it is still not finished,
because all parties, Varag, Norman and others are barbarians - one side still killing in Afghanistan and Iraq, another still try to destroy Syrian genuine Caucasian population for a hell of it.
As for "attack on EU", there is here an overtone of German
"interests" of controlling EU and divide Europe, like Ukraine
with Russians, that Russian usurpers of former USSR offered to British, Germans and Austrians in a first place in 1954-56
and still forging it by genocides, cleansing, plundering, repopulating, annexing and squeezing their neighbors.

Come on now. Russia’s political strategies revolve around backstabbing, crazy falsehoods, making up rules as it goes along, treachery – a common Russian tactic – amongst other ruthless maneuvers.

So, why do governments even bother signing ANY Agreements w/ Russia??

Obviously, the notion of *a gentlemen’s agreement* of diplomacy w/ Russia is severely outdated and all the old rules of the game should’ve been ditched.

Russian government lies and denies and looks for any delusional fabricated pretext to aggressively do what it wants.

*Official* Western government sheeple need to wake up to the new Russia-Has-No-Shame reality!

Putin uses the paper that Agreements are/were written on as toilet paper. (One could only hope that he recycles it accidentally, transforming it into his pork-fat-breakfast napkin.)

Coordinating with armed mobs must be some new interpretation of disarming armed mobs (as recently agreed) that I am unfamiliar with:

Ukrainian radical neo-fascist Right Sector group has moved its main headquarters from Kiev to Dnepropetrovsk to “closely monitor” the developments in the east, its leader said, announcing the formation of yet another paramilitary squadron in Ukraine.

“I moved my headquarters to Dnepropetrovsk. The purpose is to prevent the spread of the Kremlin infection,” Ukrainian presidential candidate and Right Sector leader Dmitry Yarosh announced at a press conference in Dnepropetrovsk.

He says the vital industrial city in Ukraine, Dnepropetrovsk provides a better platform to observe the situation in Donbass where pro-federalization protests are flourishing, after the coup in Kiev.

Yarosh, placed by Russia on an international most wanted terrorist list, also announced that he started forming a special squad of fighters called “Donbass.”

“We coordinate all of our actions with the leadership of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Security service of Ukraine,” Yarosh said.

Is it Putin's answer through Lavrov?
Is lavrov provoked by Baiden's green, that looks
quite German, not unlike before Ugoslavia fell under
German influence and financial enslavement?
Will Russia invade all Ukraine like Georgia in 2008?
Why Russia is against free, united, prosperous Ukraine?
Russia outdone Hitler many times over in its arrogance!
Is Russia ruled by traitors that like in 1941, destroying CIS?
Is it goal of Russia, following pact of 1954-56, divide Eastern Europe with Germans and Austrians and Asia with British,
As they were doing since Katerina the II?
Is it pay back to Austrians for Shwarzenegger and Russian movie about good Russian police officer and a bad Georgian,
to help Russia destroy non-Russian nations?
Does Russia think this time no genius like Einshtein or Kartveli
will help stop Russia, as they helped stop Hitler?
Why would you Putin and his Russia think so?
Is it because they think they read our minds, like invisible mordushka-koldushka, to steal ideas World would get,
so Russia would produce it faster in larger numbers,
to conquer the World?
Like Russia stealing from me, to glorify race of Varaga-Prussaka part-Neanderthals and use it to "glorify" Russians and invade our countries?
What if there are ways block or bust Russian "kikimoras"?
(will continue)

To the issue of Yatcenuk presentation of intentions of Ukraine:
Yatcenuk is mentioning even in a milder way integration in EU
than Yanukovich, the Russian proxy that brought Ukraine into
state of be enslaved, conquered and repopulated even more
by Russiasns.
Russia is already using that point, illegally, against Ukraine.
Still, there is an appearance that somehow it is good excuse
for Russia to invade.
The issue was forged and resurface again in time of Lenin,
as "United States of Europe", when German and Russian
socialists were bitterly arguing who of them is Greater race
of barbarians and has right conquer the World, repopulate
it in name of Russian World Empire or German World
Later Russians and Germans argued the same in name of
World Revolution - who will lead it and repopulate the World, like a wave from a stone dropped into Ocean. When Lenin went to a mental institution, Stalin offer democracy, free election, independence, revival of millenniums of experience of Common Wealth of Caucasian Civilizations, back through
Millenniums of known history.
CIS was interrupted because of WW2 and Russia's blackmail
by USSR, temporary creation to be return after WW2 to CIS.
However, Russia and Germany are still at it, like during the
Katerina the Prussian, pushing Prussia conquer all German
Kingdoms and divide Europe.
In 1954-56 Russians lured Germans, Austrians and British
to restore the same game.
It is why I would advise Yatcenuk and Ukraine review their
Russians are provocateurs, they want conquer neighbors.
Europe fall for the "United States of Europe" trap they cannot
pull-off, without Russia and Germany dividing Europe in neo-
imperialist way.
Joe Biden was acting in same manner in all Europe, like in
Balkans - Yugoslavia is no more, no CIS of Yugoslavia, while
Germans and Austrians buying them part by part, using fools
from USA and conspiracy with Russian imperio-macaques
to neo-colonize them for 30 trillions of WW2 Nazi loot, and
not only Balkans, but most of Europe!
Joe Biden green on his face makes me very uncomfortable.
I saw it before few times.
I saw similar situation before tragedy in Chile, on face of a
Russian general that brought no money, they promised,
but provoked USA virtual invasion and killings.
Green of Joe Biden is not helpful...

They might be intelligent, to a degree Viking, Levite or other
part-Neanderthals might be, or broken by them Caucasians might maintain parts of their minds, processed by races that still are controlling USA, Russia, and the World, in any field they spy against the rest of Heaven, Earth and us and know.
They compartmented in area of doing the things, lying
and spreading excited forgeries, to excite many,
adult and children, hoping we would think it,
while they read our minds and stealing
scrap papers - to plagiarize for races
of bestial macaques - as they are.
But when stole - they cannot wait
to publish it for themselves - joyful
like macaques that stole a banana,
dancing and moving in mocking way,
telling behind our back how Grate it is.
No compartmentalization - they all in it!
All agencies, races of macaques and fields,
Americans, Russians and the rest are mocking us!
It is the point of no return for human race and it is why
already 7 or 8 cataclysms and Ice Ages, and periods
of few thousand years mark vanishing previous fallen
Worlds and vanishing memory about it. Next time, by
Old Testament calendar is year 6,000 - in 226 years.
Just about 7 generations for the condemnation lifted,
if Humanity repent, pay for its crimes and return it all,
priorities and royalties to God, creators and descent.

As for Russia, it will not work! They might be already
condemned for expanding lands into the neighboring
countries breed ethnic Russians and restoring "serfs".

Lavrov/Putin already have a country to's called Russia...they have nothing to do with Ukraine, so shouldn't be meddling in it in the first place.

Putin/Lavrov say the Ukrainian soldiers/security forces shouldn't do anything against the Pro Russian Separatists who are mostly feral thugs & little green men in little green uniforms (this lot being mainly FSB thugs).

Well that's what a country's security forces are there for to tackle thuggery. As the OSCE representative said Russia is hypocritical on this, in that Putin/Lavrov would be the first to violently round up separatists in Russia if there was a hint of same taken to the streets.

So Messrs Putin & Lavrov get out & stay out of is not your country, it doesn't need your interference, it doesn't need your anything, & definitely doesn't need your "Little Green Men" who act like "Manky Gougers" which means in Irish slang, filthy aggressors. And you would do well to look after the needs of your own countrymen because many of their needs are not met. The forestry fires would be a start in supplying firefighters & especially the volunteers whom you are now degrading with the passing of new idiotic laws.

Help with the funding of the many run down districts, help the many who are unemployed, poor, sick, oppressed by yourselves in your own country & are badgered for holding blank placards in their hands, etc; etc; etc. And yous are the same guy who think you can do a good job ruling Ukraine? Yous are right gurriers (hooligans), & look at the mess yous made out of Syria when yous volunteered to be the worlds police man there. Be-jesus, yous Putin & Lavrov turned it into an eternal graveyard & both of you should be on top of the world wanted list for same, never mind thinking of taking over Ukraine. Now go & hang your heads in "Shame"!
