Turkmenbashi Releases Third Poetry Collection

28 January 2005 -- Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov has released his third collection of poetry, this one entitled "The Spring Of My Spirituality."

Niyazov's press service made the announcement yesterday and said Niyazov's third work of poetry was a natural succession to his previous two collections of poetry "Blessed Be the Turkmen People"
and "The Five Epochs Of The Turkmen People's Spirituality."

According to Niyazov's press service, "every page, every line is pierced by feelings of the inescapably burning love of the great son of Turkmen soil for his roots."

Niyazov's two-volume "Rukhnama," a moral and spiritual guide book for the Turkmen people, is mandatory reading, being taught at all levels of school.

Lines from "Rukhnama" are inscribed in the recently opened mosque in Niyazov's hometown alongside passages from the Koran.
