Violence Continues In Iraq

27 March 2005 -- Reports say a suicide car bomber blew himself up today in the path of a U.S. military convoy in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul. Iraqi police say it is not immediately clear if there were any casualties.

In Baghdad, bodyguards for Science and Technology Minister Rashad Amr Mandan reportedly opened fire on a crowd of protesters who had gathered in front of the ministry's offices to demand their full wages. It was unclear why the guards opened fire or whether there were casualties.

Meanwhile, militants linked to Al-Qaeda have posted a video on the Internet purportedly showing an Iraqi Interior Ministry official being killed.

Police today announced they have found the bodies of a local official from the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq and two of his relatives. The bodies were discovered in an abandoned car north of Ba'qubah, 60 kilometers northeast of Baghdad
