Chalabi Aide Killed In Baghdad

4 August 2005 (RFE/RL) -- An aide to Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Ahmed Chalabi was killed in Baghdad today.

Police said that Haidar Muhammad Ali al-Dujayli, an Iraqi National Congress official in charge of public relations, was killed by gunmen at his home today.

The attack on al-Dujaili came after gunmen on 31 July opened fire on a convoy of Chalabi officials south of Baghdad, killing a bodyguard. Chalabi was not in the convoy.
