British soldiers on patrol in Lashkargar (file photo) (AFP) October 19, 2006 -- A suicide attack in southern Afghanistan today left two children and a British soldier dead.
The British Defense Ministry says the bomber targeted a military convoy in Lashkargar, the capital of Helmand Province.
In a separate suicide bombing, this time in eastern Afghanistan, an Afghan policeman was killed.
