May 1, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko today sacked a second Constitutional Court judge in as many days, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reported.

Yushchenko's office says the president dismissed court Deputy Chairwoman and Justice Syuzanna Stanyk, whom Yushchenko had previously accused of corruption.

On April 30, Yushchenko dismissed court Deputy Chairman Valeriy Pshenychnyy from the 18-judge panel, accusing him of violating court procedures.

The parliament majority, led by Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, is criticizing the dismissals as unconstitutional.
