RFE/RL has three vacancies for talented .NET Programmers to join its award winning webteam in our state-of-the-art Prague offices. As part of a distinguished international news media organization, the latest focus of the webteam, an integral part of the IT Division is to extend its cutting-edge digital technology to other “sister” organizations located in the US and elsewhere.

We offer the option of joining either as a locally recruited employee or as a limited term contractor. You’d be part of an exceptional team-- bringing strong skills, ideas and creativity to this fast-paced project—that may entail occasional business travel opportunities to the U.S.

You’ll work under the supervision of the IT Project Manager reporting to the Department Director, and will be responsible for developing interesting “news” web sites for RFE/RL along with maintaining existing web sites.

Requirements:

• Good all-round programming skills with experience and development knowledge in C# NET (University degree in IT or related field desired).
• Knowledge of most if not all of the following technologies: JavaScript, HTML & CSS.
• Strong background in databases and MS SQL Server.
• Good customer service orientation and team player who enjoys working in a close-knit team in a pleasant, energetic & multi-cultural environment.
• Professional English skills, Czech/Slovak preferred but not required, knowledge of one of our news audience languages is considered a plus.
• Desire to grow professionally and an interest in general understanding of business are welcome.
