Unfortunately, the definition of "good" music has changed worldwide. These days dumbed down pop culture appeals to the masses and good quality music with rich lyrics by talented musicians is rare. In this case, however, I hope the Afghans find a way to maintain their culture. The Taliban makes it impossible and a crime for Afghans to sing and dance. A life without music is indeed a sad thing.
