Anti-government protesters threw eggs at the office of Macedonia's President Gjorge Ivanov, soon after he pardoned politicians and others implicated in a vast wiretapping operation. Protesters gathered in the capital, Skopje, in the evening of April 12. They clashed with police and demanded Ivanov's resignation, after he halted investigations into the scandal.
