Violence Disrupts Serbian Gay Pride Parade

Police in the Serbian capital Belgrade clashed with counterdemonstrators protesting against gay rights activists as they held the city's first gay pride parade since 2001. Dozens of police officers and civilians were reported injured in the clashes as the protesters hurled rocks and shouted antigay slogans.
