Twenty-five years ago, Hungary declared the creation of a new democratic republic, bringing its communist dictatorship to an end. But some Hungarians say the democratic gains of 1989 are under threat from the sweeping constitutional reforms of the ruling Fidesz party, while at the same time, the ultranationalist Jobbik party is pulling the country even further to the right.
