Kazakh Activists Released From Jail After Land Protests

A Kazakh activist who protested against the government's land reforms has been released from detention. Twenty-one-year-old Moldir Adylova was met by her family and supporters as she left jail in Almaty on June 2. She served 15 days for 'inciting the public to attend illegal gatherings' during an unprecedented wave of protests throughout Kazakhstan at the end of April. (RFE/RL's Kazakh Service)
