Obama Says U.S. Not Alone In Fight Against Islamic State

U.S. President Barack Obama has pledged to continue the fight against the Islamic State (IS) militants following the first U.S.-led air strikes targeting the extremist group in Syria. Speaking at the White House on September 23, Obama said that the United States is "proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder" with Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates in conducting the strikes.
