Azerbaijani Soldier Severely Wounded Along Border With Separatist Region

x
Azerbaijani military officials are blaming Armenian soldiers for a shooting incident near the border with the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region, which is run by an ethnic Armenian administration.

Azerbaijani military officials said Private Nurali Aliyev, 19, was hospitalized in a grave condition after being shot in the head.

Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry accused Armenian servicemen of responsibility, saying they had violated the terms of a cease-fire in the Karabakh area.

The separatist Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry rejected the report, saying "forces deployed along the frontline strictly abide by the cease-fire regime."

Armenia and Azerbaijan have been in conflict for around three decades over the Nagorno-Karabakh territory.

A fragile cease-fire has been in place since 1994 after ethnic Armenians seized control of most of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Years of internationally-backed negotiations have failed to result in a permanent settlement.

Armenia and Russia have persued a course of genocide against Azerbaijani people. This the migration of ethnic Armenians from Persia and the Ottman Empire. Next was the division of the Azerbaijani people by the treaties of Gulistan and Turkmenchay. After this the mass killings of 1905, followed by the massacres of 1918-1920 (including the Baku bloodbath of 1918). Despite the Azeris contribution during World War II, Stalin deportated hundredthousands of Azerbaijanis from Yerevan in 1948-1953. This was followed the deportation of Azerbaijanis from remainder Armenia in 1950-1970. And finally the ethnic cleasing of Karabakh, where Armenian/Russian troops occupy about 16% of Azerbaijani lands. So yeah, stop all this nonesense. Karabakh belong to Azerbaijan. Period.

Karabakh will soon be called by it's ancient name Artzakh and will be independent. When Artzakh and the Armenians were around, Azeris were in Mongolia and Albanians were slaves of the Romans.

Well, it was the Tigran so called the "Great" who on hearing that Pompey was coming went to his camp and crawled on his legs and arms like a dog (the analogy is actually an ancient one, not mine) and offered Pompey his crown. Meanwhile Albanians, along with Iberians were fighting off the Romans and never allowed them to go further into Caucasus.

Btw, Azerbaijanis have always been in Azerbaijan.
