MONDAY, October 31:

Bosnia-Herzegovina: Head Prosecutor of Hague Tribunal Serge Brammertz visits Sarajevo (to November 2).

Kazakhstan: Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev to meet with Vietnam's top leaders in Hanoi to boost ties in trade and relations (to November 1).

Kyrgyzstan: OSCE/ODIHR holds a press conference in Bishkek on preliminary findings and conclusions of the presidential election in Kyrgyzstan.

Russia: Russian opposition holds a rally in Moscow and other Russian cities.

Tajikistan: Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi visits Turkey to attend the Istanbul Conference for Afghanistan.


TUESDAY, November 1:

Moldova: UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay visits Chisinau (to November 4).

Russia: Kazan hosts a conference titled “Islam in a Multicultural World” (to November 3).

South Korea/Russia: President of South Korea Lee Myung-bak makes a working visit to Russia (to November 2).

U.S./Russia: New-York hosts the Russian-American Economic Forum (to November 2).

Turkey: Trilateral Summit of the presidents of Turkey, Afghanistan, and Pakistan to be held in Istanbul.

World: The Info-Crime Summit 2011 conference opens in London (to November 2).


WEDNESDAY, November 2:

Armenia/EU: The Armenia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee meet at the Armenian National Assembly in Yerevan (to November 3).

Turkey: The Istanbul Conference for Afghanistan, which aims to encourage regional cooperation to restore peace, prosperity, and well-being in Afghanistan opens.

UN: The 2011 Human Development Report to be launched in Copenhagen.


THURSDAY, November 3:

EU: Second Ministerial Conference of the Prague Process - "Building Migration Partnerships in action" - opens in Poznan (to November 4)

World: The Group of Twenty (G20) Summit opens in Cannes (to November 4).


FRIDAY, November 4:

Russia: Russia marks its National Unity Day. Russia's nationalists plan to hold a Russian March rally in Moscow.

World: The hajj, or annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, begins.


SUNDAY, November 6:

Armenia/Iran: Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar is scheduled to visit Yerevan.

IMF/Russia: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde is scheduled to visit Moscow.

UN: International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict.
