The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) says that ethnic Serbs in Kosovo are eligible to cast their ballots in the Serbian parliamentary and presidential elections this weekend.

The head of the pan-European watchdog's Kosovo mission, Werner Almhofer, told reporters that the vote counting will be done outside of Kosovo, in the Serbian towns of Raska and Vranje.

The OSCE said it would open around 90 polling stations across Kosovo on May 6.

Some 110,000 Kosovar Serbs with dual citizenship are eligible to take part in the poll.

Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008 and has been recognized by 90 countries, including the United States and all but five members of the European Union.

Belgrade still considers Kosovo to be a southern province of Serbia.

Is vn from Belgrade on the ballot?

If not, what a pity as she knows everything about politics in the Balkans and is ALWAYS correct!

You call yourself Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty but don't respect the UN charter of law. I am an Austrian, I am not a great fan of Serbs, but some dignity should be left in the media don't you agree? We worked towards the rule of law and equal rights for everyone, even those which we do not like.

Kosovo is an illegal entity forcefully carved out of Serbia and occupied by US and its NATO minions. Kosovo is not recognized as independent state by vast majority of nations. Kosovo has exactly 0 chance of ever joining UN. Kosovo has turned into a black hole of drug, weapons and human smuggling by Albanians, under protection of NATO. Sooner or later NATO itself will realize they created a problem for themselves.

There is nothing unusual about citizens in another country voting in their home-country's elections - British subjects do it all the time. What is concerning is that the OSCE appears to have had a final say on a matter that should have involved only Serbia and those she recognises as her citizens.
