Serbian President Boris Tadic's unprecedented criticism of the EU after the postponement of a candidate-status decision for Serbia because of a lack of cooperation with Kosovo could signal a change in his position toward the territory.
TEXT SIZE - +
Serbian President Boris Tadic has criticized plans by northern Kosovo Serbs to hold a referendum on whether to accept the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Tadic said the referendum planned for February 14 and 15 would “only deepen the crisis.”

Serbia and Kosovo Serbs reject the 2008 declaration of independence by Kosovar authorities in Pristina, but Belgrade is currently engaged in talks with Kosovo's leadership.

Kosovo Serbs have blocked roads to prevent the Pristina government from asserting authority, causing incidents with NATO peacekeepers and blocking Serbia's European Union bid.

One more example of the European way of democracy :-). Why doesn't Tadic send his own troops to cleanse the Serbs still remaining in Kosovo? This would defendly delight his bosses in Washington, Berlin and Paris and would also help the Albanians get rid of their "Serbian headache".

Serbs and Russians seem to exist only to bring instability and trouble to the world, and try and make as many enemies as possible in order to focus their ultra-nationalist chauvinist ideas, straight out of the middle ages. Blooming move-on you idiots and let the Albanian people live in peace.

The terrorizing Albanians in Kosovo and their ultra-nationalistic chauvinism does not stretch as far as the middle ages? All they talk about from history is the Illyrian tribes, and that's the time of the pagans, much further away from the middle ages. When will your gangish, mafialike, sick group of people give the civilized world a break?

Please note that not all of the Albanians are as thick minded as you are. You and your likeminded cluster are an insult to the present civilization. Who's preventing the state of Albania to move on and become No. 1 in the world? Why have they been bugging the Slavic states with their refugees for so long? It must have been because of highly developed political and economic state of affairs in Albania. It's interesting that the state of Albania doesn't want to have anything to do with the Albanian criminals in Kosovo, but they wouldn't mind getting a piece of the Serbian territory, for the "underground" riches !!!??? The whole world and EU are well aware of the Albanian fields of expertise.

vn,

If you dislike and disagree with RFE's supposed position on the Balkans so much why do you spend so much time on this website? Surely you and your Red Star hooligan brothers have your own nationalistic websites you can visit, no?

There hasn't been one article on this site concerning the Balkans that you haven't commented on, move on and let it go already.

Now, a single pro-Serb has become a problem to the nationalistic pro-criminal Kosovo Albanian views. Do we have a situation here, or is it just a figment of my imagination? Perhaps you're going to seek some British NGO assistance (across from the Red Star's Stadium in Belgrade)? They've already given it a try. To your regret, some of us have a few more lives left. It must be because of the history in my (damned, darn, confounded?) blood... in the middle ages the Serbs had already had a Code of Law. Once upon a time there was a Tsar ... BTW, had no idea this was an exclusive Albanian site with the fascist touches, but thank you for the info.

vn,

It appears that you have some serious anger management issues, or are you just representing Serbs as a whole?

I see some double doses of Prosac and a twelve step program in your immediate future. Good luck with all that.

Sorry, but you got me there. I have no idea what "Prosac" is, and as for the program you're mentioning, it seems that it hasn't done you any good. It looks like you have a shared interest with the bunch of disturbed smoke-headed imbeciles, and not being able to grasp the political or historical situation of the region, you have concentrated your frustrations against one individual. Good luck to you, and I wish you a Happy New Year! The Serbian Christmas time is a few days onward.

I am not Albanian, but I have travelled aroudn that part of the world quite a lot and I have come to know the recent history of the Balcans quite well. All Albanian people want to do is move on, but with neighbours like the Serbs how can you do anything productive. Lets not forget what Serbia has brought to Europe in the past 20 years: genocide, destruction and full up orphanages.

As far as I see Albanians are bringing instability in Serbia, not Serbs in Albania. It is more than obvious that "Kosovo" was a terrorist Albanian uprising supported by the NATO. Hopefully the NATO is withdrawing their units from that province, and it will be reintegrated into Serbia as it should have been. We live in a secular multiethnic world, Albanians should wake up from their extremist apathy and embrace that.
