Grenade Attack On Chechen Government Building

27 May 2004 -- Chechen officials say suspected Chechen rebels launched grenades at a government building in the capital Grozny today.
A spokesman, Said Didiyev, said attackers fired grenades on the State Council building from a bombed-out apartment block nearby. One grenade hit the wall of the council building.

The spokesman said two employees were injured in the attack.

Police cordoned off the area and were searching for the attackers.
