U.S. Strikes Al-Fallujah

8 October 2004 -- U.S. warplanes carried out another overnight bombing raid on suspected insurgent targets in the Iraqi rebel-held city of Al-Fallujah.
Doctors said 11 people were killed and 17 in the raid on the western Iraqi city. Some of the victims were reported to be children and women.

US warplanes have bombed Al-Fallujah almost daily in raids targeting supporters of Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi, the most wanted man in Iraq whose Al-Tawhid wa Al-Jihad group is blamed for a string of deadly attacks and beheadings of hostages.
