U.S. Detains 7 After Baghdad Embassy Attack

30 January 2005 -- The United States military says seven people have been detained in connection with a rocket attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that killed two Americans.
The military said in a written statement that following the Saturday evening rocket launch, the suspected attackers were tracked to a residence in southeastern Baghdad where they were arrested by U.S. troops.

The attack targeting the U.S. Embassy in the heavily fortified Green Zone killed two Americans and injured four others on the eve of today's Iraqi national elections.
