Georgians Urged Not To Blame South For Blast

2 February 2004 -- Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania has urged Georgians not to rush to blame the separatist South Ossetia region for a car bomb that killed three policemen and wounded at least 13 other people.
The blast occurred yesterday outside a police station in Gori, the closest regional center to the tense South Ossetian region, which broke away from Georgia in a 1992 war. No country recognizes South Ossetia's independence.

No one claimed responsibility for the explosion.
