Gunmen Kill Iraqi Interior Ministry Official

8 March 2005 -- Iraq's Interior Ministry says gunmen have killed the deputy chief of its naturalization department outside his home in Baghdad.
News agencies quoted ministry sources as saying police Major General Ghazi Muhammad Issa was the victim of a drive-by shooting today.

In an Internet statement, a militant group led by Jordanian Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi said it was behind the assassination.
