19 April 2005 -- The war crimes trial of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic was adjourned in The Hague today after he was declared too sick to appear.
Milosevic's trial already had been interrupted 15 times because of his health.
Milosevic faces more than 60 charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity for his alleged central role in the 1990s wars in Bosnia, Croatia, and Kosovo. He also faces separate genocide charges over the 1992-95 Bosnia war, which left 200,000 people dead.
He has been on trial at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia since February 2002 and faces a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted.
