Bishkek, 20 June 2005 (RFE/RL) -- France's paramilitary riot police, the CRS, held a training session for Kyrgyz police today in Bishkek, RFE/RL's Kyrgyz Service reported.
The CRS -- the Compagnies Republicaines de Securite -- are known for their tough approach to quelling public disorder in France.
The training program is funded by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
