Serbian Court Sentences Serbs For Killing Of Muslims

15 July 2005 -- A Serbian court today sentenced four former members of a paramilitary force to 15- and 20-year prison terms for murdering 16 Muslims during the 1992-95 Bosnia war.
The victims were kidnapped on Bosnian territory in October 1992 on their way to work and later tortured and killed. Their bodies were thrown into the River Drina and never found.

The four men convicted today were members of a paramilitary group known as "The Avengers." Two other men who were tried in absentia remain at large, including Milan Lukic, the group's commander.
