Ukrainian President Postpones Visit To Georgia

25 July 2005 -- Ukrainian President Vitkor Yushchenko today said he had decided to postpone a four-day visit to Georgia that was due to start tomorrow.
Presidential spokeswoman Iryna Gerashchenko said in a statement that Yushchenko is too busy to make the planned trip.

The office of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has said that the visit has been rescheduled for mid-August.

Yushchenko and Saakashvili have developed close personal ties since coming to power in 2003 and 2004, respectively.
