Kandahar Market Blast Injures Four

12 August 2005 (RFE/RL) -- An explosion at a market in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar today injured four people - including a child.
Kandahar Province police chief Abdul Malik Wahidi said the blast occurred in the early afternoon at the Rangrazal market, which was closed for the Muslim day of prayer. He said the explosion was caused by a bomb placed in front of a row of shops.
