11 November 2005 -- Russian media report that the head of the Azeri community in the southern city of Astrakhan has been killed.
The regional prosecutor's office says Mirhaci Huseynov was gunned down today in his apartment.
Huseynov was running a private construction business in Astrakhan. Investigators believe the murder is connected to the victim's professional activity.
