At Least 15 Killed In Latest Iraq Violence

(RFE/RL) 29 January 2006 -- At least 15 people have been reported killed in fresh violence in Iraq.

Police said at least 10 Iraqis were killed and several others wounded by a roadside bomb in the town of Iskindiriyah, south of Baghdad overnight.


Four Iraqi soldiers died when a suicide car bomber blew himself up near their patrol car outside the northern town of Tikrit. Six other soldiers were wounded in the attack early today.


Meanwhile, the U.S. military said an American soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in the capital Baghdad on 28 January.
