Iran To Invest In Indonesian Energy Sector

Oil refinery on Iran's Lavan Island (file photo) (AFP) April 28, 2006 – The Indonesian government today announced that Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad will shortly sign agreements binding Iran to invest $600 million in Indonesia's oil and gas sector.

Ahmadinejad is due to make an official visit to Indonesia on May 9 for the fifth conference of the D-8, a group that brings together eight developing Muslim countries.
