Coalition Soldiers Wounded In Afghanistan

(RFE/RL) June 6, 2006 -- The U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan says three U.S. soldiers were wounded today in a suicide car bomb attack against one of its convoys in the eastern province of Khost.

Two were hospitalized. The third suffered only minor injuries.

The Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press news agency quotes a Taliban spokesman, Mohammad Hanif, as saying the militant group was responsible for the attack.
