Yushchenko Says New Coalition Unconstitutional

Protesters have sent up a tent city in Kyiv to demonstrate against the new coalition (epa) July 13, 2006 - Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko said that a new pro-Russian coalition in parliament is unconstitutional and breaches parliamentary procedures.

The new coalition formally announced on July 11 brings together the Party of the Regions, the Communists, and the Socialists.


It was created after Oleksandr Moroz, who is the leader of the Socialist Party, abandoned his former Orange Revolution allies.
