Afghan detainees released from Bagram Airfield this June (epa) August 8, 2006 -- Prosecutors in the trial of the first U.S. civilian to be charged with abusing detainees in Iraq or Afghanistan say the CIA contractor beat an Afghan prisoner so badly that he pleaded for guards to kill him.
