Georgia Sells State Information Agency

(RFE/RL) August 11, 2006 -- Georgia's state information agency has been sold to an unidentified group of investors.

Georgia's Economic Development Ministry said the Sakinformi agency had been sold for $5.05 million.


It said bidding had started at $5 million. The ministry declined to reveal the identity of the buyers, but said they were Georgian citizens.
