Kyiv Mayor Dreams Of Local Disneyland

One of Kyiv's ancient attractions -- the murals of St. Michael's Cathedral. (epa) August 16, 2006 -- Kyiv's mayor, Leonid Chernovetsky, says that he dreams of seeing a Disneyland attraction park open in the Ukrainian capital.

He said today that if Kyiv does gain a Disneyland, "my life will not have been lived in vain."

Chernovetsky says he would like Kyiv to become "a tourist mecca."
