Suicide Bomber Attacks NATO Convoy In Afghanistan

(RFE/RL) September 27, 2006 -- Afghan police say a suicide car bomber exploded his vehicle near a NATO convoy in Afghanistan's southern city of Kandahar today, wounding an Afghan civilian.

No NATO troops were reported harmed in the blast. One military vehicle was damaged in the explosion.


An apparent suicide attack killed 18 people in neighboring Helmand Province on September 26.
