Erdogan met President Mahmud Ahmadinejad and Vice President Parviz Davudi and was also expected to later meet Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Erdogan said he was hoping for a near doubling of bilateral trade to $10 billion annually.
He also said the "sensitive situations" in Iraq, Israel and the Palestinian territories, and Lebanon would be discussed.
