Relatives And Friends Bury 80 Bosnian War Victims

(RFE/RL) June 16, 2007 -- More than 5,000 people attended a funeral today for 80 people killed in the northeastern Bosnian town of Brcko during the country's 1992-95 war.

Out of the 80 victims, 77 were Bosnian Muslims, and three were Bosnian Croats.


All of the victims were killed in 1992, soon after Bosnian Serb forces seized the town.


More than 500 non-Serb civilians were killed in Brcko during the early stages of the war.
